Holzer Wellness Member Shares Experience

“I feel better than I have in years, and most of that is due to being active at the Holzer Therapy & Wellness Center,” shared Steve White.

In January 2018, White joined Holzer Therapy & Wellness Center. With this membership, he began working out at least four days a week, spending time on a variety of machines at the Center. To date, he has cut his medications in half, eliminating his need for cholesterol medication, and no longer needs a prescription for arthritis pain.

“I felt bad all the time,” shared White. “I was recommended to try the Center by a friend. I was hesitant to join, but I am so glad that I did.”

White is a Type 2 Diabetic, which he has been for over 20 years. He also has neuropathy, and the wellness coaches have instructed him on which type of machines and the variety of exercises to utilize.

“The people are so nice,” continued White. “It’s a great place to join and be a part of.”

White and his wife, Kathy, reside in Bidwell. White is retired, and a United States Marine Corp veteran.

A one-stop approach for rehab and wellness needs, the Holzer Therapy & Wellness Center has something for everyone.  Offering an integrated program of total healthcare services including comprehensive physical, occupational, speech and massage therapies, individual health risk assessments and supervised fitness plans, plus occupational health services.

Individualized therapy sessions and flexible scheduling allow for speedy evaluations and quick entry into our therapy. Our patients include individuals with chronic disease, illness or injury, neurological deficits, balance and walking challenges, motor delays, repetitive trauma injuries, cognitive-visual deficits, age-related degenerative disorders, musculoskeletal problems, orthopedic needs, as well as speech, communications, and swallowing disorders.

The wellness side of the Center includes a walking/running track, state of the art exercise equipment, massage, sauna, shower and locker area, vending services and a multipurpose meeting room for a variety of fitness and educational programs. This project was made possible due to the Eastman Family building and property donation, along with many generous donors to Holzer Heritage Foundation.
